The board approved multiple administrative and intergovernmental items. Commissioners approved a Joint Powers Agreement with Worthington Township related to cannabis administration and a Master JPA and Court Amendment authorizing the County Attorney and Sheriff’s Office to access state and federal data networks. The board also proclaimed several county vehicles (including a 2018 and a 2021 Ford Explorer Interceptor and a 2018 Chevy Malibu vehicle #8) as excess property to allow replacement or sale.
Public Works requested purchase of a MnDOT mobile changeable message board (unit #251361) for $5,000; the board approved that capital purchase as a cost-saving alternative to renting. Rock Nobles Community Corrections’ pre-cast garage on the Prairie Justice Center grounds was acknowledged; Rock Nobles will fund the garage and Rock County is named as fiduciary agent in the minutes.
