The Chisago County Board adopted RESOLUTION NO. 26/0603-1 authorizing the county to act as the legal sponsor for funding applications to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for maintenance and grooming of snowmobile trails managed by the North Branch Sno-Drifters. The resolution authorizes the County Auditor to serve as fiscal agent if the state approves the applications.
Separately, the Board authorized execution of a Conservation Partners Legacy Grant Program grant contract for countywide treatment of invasive Phragmites, subject to County Attorney review, and authorized reallocating Contracted Services funds from the 2026 budgeted 611 Water Quality Grant and 619 Watercraft Inspection as the 10% local match. The motion to approve the grant contract carried unanimously.
