Michael Fox told council members the work is necessary to keep the machine operational after issues were discovered during routine checks and that the parts being replaced had worn with time. The motion to authorize the repairs was moved by Mayor Johann Wallace and seconded by Councilmember Christy Hirshberg; the item passed unanimously.
Council members discussed the need to maintain equipment to support town operations and there was no recorded opposition to the expenditure during the meeting.
