The Cass County Board of Commissioners convened a special meeting June 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM in Walker, MN. The board approved the regular agenda by unanimous vote after Administrator Joshua Stevenson presented it.
Later in the meeting, the board voted unanimously to approve and implement the collective bargaining agreement for Courthouse Unit employees represented by AFSCME Local No. 2195. The contract—signed by the union during mediation on June 12, 2026—takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on June 16, 2026, and includes a 3% cost-of-living adjustment, 3% step increases, addition of Step 11, and longevity pay beginning at five years. Chair Bob Kangas adjourned the meeting at 1:03 PM.
