Traill County WRD authorizes multiple drainage and culvert repairs, tree removals and small procurements

During its June 2 meeting the Traill County Water Resource District approved a series of maintenance and repair actions across county drains. Manager Andy Neset moved to authorize Chad's Excavating to repair erosion under the culverts between sections 3 and 4 (Bridge No. 277) in Blanchard Township not to exceed $15,000; Manager Jason Lovas seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The Board also approved tree removal contracts with Civil Specialties, Inc. along Garfield Drain No. 32 (not to exceed $4,500) and along Holman Drain No. 43 (not to exceed $10,000). The Board approved an agreement with C&C Excavating, LLC to install a culvert in Section 12 in Eldorado Township (Kaufman Drain No. 22) and authorized Chairman Siegert and Secretary‑Treasurer Spaeth to sign. For Mickelson Drain No. 13 the Chair was directed to procure a contractor to remove a dilapidated pipe not to exceed $5,000 as previously approved. The Board instructed Moore Engineering to survey Brokke Drain No. 30 ahead of a proposed cleanout.
These approvals were recorded by unanimous roll‑call votes and are intended to address localized erosion, damaged culverts, and debris that could affect drainage and road safety.
