City Manager Jeremy Kimpton told the council that any Truth in Taxation hearing must occur after Aug. 6; the council instructed staff to seek the first available date after Aug. 7 and to prefer a regular council meeting night. The timing requirement and date range were the principal procedural points the council addressed.
Mayor Travis Mote asked that staff examine the timing of certain budget items — specifically the schedule for purchasing a second ambulance — and pursue discussions with Box Elder County about services to South Willard. Jeremy was directed to reach out to the county to arrange either a full commission meeting or a smaller work session with a couple of commissioners to discuss services and cost responsibilities.
