Commissioners outline short-term fixes as maintenance and break-fix funds near shortfall

"If we can come up with a 90% solution, maybe we cut down on the number of amendments and the number of ledger entries that we're making," Commissioner Matthews said, urging a near-term plan to buy time and avoid service interruptions.
Officials noted that some smaller hardware replacements (less than $5,000) could be approved immediately to avoid near-term failures while larger projects are phased.
