Council member warns concurrent projects could strain downtown traffic; urges hotel progress tied to parking

The same councilmember urged the council to move forward on a hotel project that staff and council previously discussed, saying the parking garage is an important incentive in attracting and supporting the hotel.
Staff acknowledged the overlap, said they are coordinating with the Hunt/Davis project team and Main Street, and noted the combined Hunt/Davis reconstruction is about a $20 million effort. Quint said staff will remain in regular communication with stakeholders to mitigate traffic impacts and timing conflicts.
