She urged the council to "put this bill brought by representative Jared Patterson of Frisco on the city of McKinney's legislative agenda in 2027," arguing local officials can support state legislative changes even where city authority is limited.
Council members thanked Herndon for bringing forward health and consumer‑protection concerns; no formal council action or referral was recorded during the meeting. The speaker also said she had filed complaints with Petland’s warranty company and that documentation—including veterinary records and emails—was available to council members who requested it.
