Selectmen approve reassignment of 2014 WorkStar to replace 2009 truck at Waterford Utilities

Shea Davy, purchasing agent, presented the recommendation on behalf of Director of Utilities Jill Stevens, saying the town will replace Asset #100475, a 2009 International WorkStar 7400 (VIN 1HTWDAAR29J077349; Mileage 69,637; Engine Hours 6,148). A motion to surplus the 2009 vehicle passed 2-1 (voting for: First Selectman Robert Brule and Selectman Rich Muckle; voting against: Selectman Greg Attanasio).
The board also approved surplus of Asset #1011264, a 2014 International WorkStar 7400 (VIN 1HTWDAAR2EH025219; Mileage 72,749; Engine Hours 6,156) and unanimously approved reassigning that vehicle to the Waterford Utility Commission to replace the 2009 unit. The surplus and reassignment are intended to keep the utility fleet up to date while offering the retired unit for public auction through GovDeals.
The votes on these fleet items were recorded as motions from Selectmen; the Marching paperwork and sale procedures will be handled by the purchasing office and the departments involved.
