Salem Township supervisors voted unanimously March 18 to award traffic-signal repairs at the Route 22 and Route 119 intersection to Bruce-Merrilees Electric for $29,725.00.
The board opened bids at a special meeting March 17; Bronder Technical Services submitted $29,958.26 and Bruce-Merrilees $29,725.00. Supervisor Bob Zundel said the township will record when it receives any insurance reimbursement from the responsible party so the township is not left bearing the cost.
The award was made following standard solicitation procedures and will be held for contractor coordination and insurance follow-up. No construction schedule was specified during the meeting.
