Chairman Kerry Jobe said the award was a partial funding of a $646,000 application and that the $350,000 "will be used to get us as far as the funds will allow." He and Supervisor Bob Zundel said the project targets more than a dozen homes—16 were cited in discussion—with several relying on springs and some hauling water during dry months.
The board approved Resolution #11-2026 unanimously. Officials did not specify a construction schedule in the meeting; project scope and next steps will be determined as the township aligns engineering work and available funds. The resolution text and project conditions will be subject to solicitor review and standard grant administration requirements.
