Commissioners report 25 applications for county administrator search; housing presentation and vaccine clinic announced

Commissioner Robert Harrison updated the board that 25 applications were received for the county administrator position and that staff will review applications for required qualifications; those that meet qualifications will be forwarded to the executive committee by April 23, 2026.
Commissioner Teri Sue Freehling reported she attended a housing‑needs presentation hosted by Cornerstone Alliance and that a recording of the presentation is available online. Freehling also said Berrien County Animal Services will host a vaccine clinic on April 25, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and that adoption fees have been reduced because the facility is at capacity.
Commissioner Sharon Tyler reported on the Mental Health Board's work on a new RFP; Commissioner David Vollrath reported on MAC Finance and General Government meeting priorities. These reports were provided as updates and did not require immediate board action.
