Commissioner Sharon Tyler told the board she attended a Public Works meeting and that the Paw Paw Lake #34 bond is complete. Commissioner Mamie Yarbrough reported on the Opioid RFP Review Committee meeting, noting the committee was introduced to Hannah Darr, the new Public Health Prevention and Promotion Supervisor, and that a second round of opioid settlement grants is opening.
Vice Chairperson Teri Sue Freehling reported that BCBIT (the county broadband/technology body referenced at the meeting) is continuing to wait for the State of Michigan concerning BEAD work. The board did not take formal action on these reports at the April 9 meeting.
