Suzanne Mcllwee of the Shenandoah County Historical Society presented plans and brochures for a county-wide "Shenandoah County Celebrates 1776" event scheduled for June 20, 2026. She described programming that will include vendors, historical displays and living-history reenactors and said organizers were excited about public participation.
Chairman Tim Taylor thanked organizers and said a great deal of work went into planning the event. The presentation was part of the meeting's Special Presentations section and was provided to the Board as informational material for event coordination and county support.
