At the Aug. 19 Board of Trustees meeting, Mr. Van Doren presented a Tourism Board report outlining a full-season marketing plan intended to attract full-time residents, second homeowners and weekend or winter visitors. He said the board was awarded a grant from the State Tourism Office to support the marketing effort and that the plan targets year-round visitation rather than seasonal peaks.
Van Doren told trustees the board will present a budget plan at the September meeting to request assistance or funding from the town to implement parts of the plan. No action was taken at the Aug. 19 meeting beyond the presentation; trustees will consider the budget proposal in September.
