Residents urge new Town Hall and clinic; Council hears hotel-neighbor concerns

During the public-comment portion of the meeting resident Lisa Zumpft thanked the Council for rezoning Town-owned property next to the Community Center to Public Use, said "the community room was never intended to be used for Council Chambers," and urged the Council to move forward on designing a new Town Hall and supporting a new medical clinic. She expressed a desire to return the community room to community events.
Resident Cliff Roseman reported ongoing problems with a hotel adjacent to his property and asked the Council to eliminate the requirement to give three violation warnings before enforcement action, urging the Council to give the Police Department more discretion to implement judgments. The Council acknowledged Mr. Roseman’s concerns and later discussed related enforcement and code issues in other agenda items.
