Parks & Recreation Director Ryan Gubler reported the town’s new fenced dog area near the playground was completed and recommended amending Town Code Section 5-2-13(B) to allow dogs to be off leash in that fenced area. He explained the Code is specific about where dogs are allowed to be off leash and the new area meets those requirements.
Council Member Jack Burns moved to approve Ordinance 2026-05, which the Council adopted unanimously and directed staff to remove an extraneous recital reference to fireworks. Mayor Barbara Bruno and other council members supported the change as a measured update to the park code tied to the constructed facility.
