CDC highlights Palladium McKinney Ranch affordable senior-living grant and 30th anniversary

Cindy Schneibul of the City/Community Development Corporation told the EDC board the organization approved 14 promotional grants to support about 40 city events and approved a project grant for an affordable senior-living project, Palladium McKinney Ranch. Schneibul said "75% of their units will be for residents 62 and older who are living at 60% or lower area median income." She noted the CDC will continue convening affordable-housing partners and is coordinating an Affordable Housing summit on April 13.
Schneibul also highlighted the 'build your own business' units at the Tufts Brewery Campus and said April marks the 30th anniversary of the McKinney Community Development Corporation; the CDC plans a year-long celebration with partners and invited the EDC to upcoming presentations.
