Janaya Garera of The Coffee Barn was granted permission to shut down the 700 block of Illinois Avenue for a 'Cars and Coffee' event on May 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The council also approved one‑year extensions on farm contracts for Snyder’s Grove Farm, Industrial Park Farm and the Gas Plant Farm. Finally, Public Works announced that normal yard waste pickup would occur if residents set fallen branches and sticks at the curb by May 5 (trees and deliberately cut brush excluded).
