Council signs off on downtown mural closure, April 26 fun run lane closures and hires Streets Department worker

Separately, the council approved a lane closure request from Live Well Mendota and Next Gen Leaders for the Color Community Fun Run on Sunday, April 26, authorizing closures on Tom Merwin Drive, Lakeview Drive and Lake Drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Alderman Fitzpatrick moved and Alderman Miller seconded that approval. The council also voted to hire Anthony Arredondo Jr. full-time in the Streets Department; Alderman Fitzpatrick moved, Alderwoman Johnson seconded, and the roll call vote was seven ayes, none opposed, one absent.
