Selectboard sets budget meetings, seeks school-district payment for Town Report printing

The board scheduled Jan. 15 and Jan. 29 special budget meetings to finalize the 2025 budget. It will prepare a Town Report addendum to limit printing costs and send a letter to the Champlain Islands Unified Union School District requesting compensation to publish the school report in bound Town Report copies.
The Selectboard reviewed early priorities for the 2025 budget and took steps to contain Town Report printing costs.
Mary‑Catherine Graziano will compile a list of annual projects and staffing needs, including an anticipated request to add an assistant Town Clerk and an assistant Treasurer. The board agreed to prepare an addendum to the printed Town Report to limit contracted printing costs and make the addendum available online and for pickup at the Town Office. Because the Champlain Islands Unified Union School District (CIUUSD) budget report comprises a large portion of the Town Report, the Selectboard will send a letter to the chair of the School Board requesting compensation to publish the entire school report in bound Town Report copies. Special budget sessions are scheduled for Jan. 15 and Jan. 29 to finalize the 2025 budget and Town Report.
