Alderman Holland presented ORD. 05-04-26B authorizing the sale of municipally owned property at 1205 Jefferson Street to Habitat for Humanity for $1 so the organization can build a home for a qualifying family. The ordinance passed by roll-call vote with the full council in favor.
Later in the meeting, Paula Daley introduced Jim LaBracca and Jessica Brayfield from Habitat for Humanity. The representatives thanked the city for help securing the lot, said Habitat is accepting applications until June 1, and briefly explained the application and selection process to the council.
