Board appoints three to levy pro committee; no con applicants were submitted

Superintendent Ingrid Colvard told the board the district typically conducts one levy mailing per year and is preparing a draft brochure through the ESD communications team. She said the district is considering a single-page flyer rather than a trifold and will send the draft to the board for quick feedback before distributing more than 4,000 mailings.
On appointments, the board approved three community members — Kevin Waters, Andrew Taylor and Dana Hendricks — to serve on the pro levy committee. There were no applicants for the con committee, which Jeff Wickersham noted when amending the motion to show both pro and con committee appointments; the motion passed. Colvard said the district will tab and prepare the newsletter by hand.
The appointments move the district toward formal levy outreach; staff will return with any draft materials and a timeline for distribution and public information.
