Commission recommends rezoning 271.75-acre Clinton Lakes park parcel to A-2

On June 11, the Planning Commission recommended that the Board of Commissioners approve rezoning of approximately 271.75 acres at 4665 N. DeWitt Road in Greenbush Township (Parcel ID: 090-030-400-005-60) from Mineral Resource (MR) to General Agriculture (A-2). Interim Zoning Director Lynn Wilson told commissioners the MR zoning district is being phased out and the parcel is used for Clinton Lakes County Park.
Public comment was opened and none were received. The commission moved to recommend approval (motion by Stephanie Schafer, supported by Kim Wieber) after staff reported the petition satisfied the seven findings required under §7.21(E)(2) of the Clinton County Zoning Ordinance. Roll-call vote recorded unanimous support (7-0).
The recommendation will be forwarded to the Board of Commissioners for final consideration; the Planning Commission record identifies the parcel address, acreage and Parcel ID as the basis for the recommendation.
