At the May 4 meeting the City of Tea Council selected its leadership and approved a slate of municipal appointments.
Councilmember James Erck was elected City Council President by unanimous ballot after a nomination from Councilmember Terry Woessner (MOTION 26-58). Terry Woessner was elected Vice President by unanimous ballot after a nomination from Erck (MOTION 26-59). Both motions were recorded as passing with all members voting AYE.
The council also approved MOTION 26-60 appointing Dawn Murphy as Finance Officer; Jessica Quigley as Police Chief; Thad Konrad as Utility Superintendent; Meierhenry Sargent, LLP as City Attorney; HDR Engineering as City Engineer; Tea Weekly as the official paper; and named American Bank and Trust, Reliabank and SD Public Funds Investment Trust as official depositories. All appointments passed unanimously.
