Budget committee amends tourism fund, boosts LCTC to $200,000 after split vote

That amendment was seconded but resulted in a 4–4 split and failed for lack of a majority. Chair David Roser said, “It’s $41,747,” pointing to the specific sum under consideration.
After discussion, a motion to approve the Promote Astoria fund as presented carried. Shortly afterward a separate motion to set the LCTC allocation at $200,000, with funds coming from the ending fund balance, was moved and passed. The committee then proceeded to the consent agenda and other budget items. The changes were recorded as tentative approvals pending final adoption in subsequent proceedings.
