Commission approves Cody Hoke auto-repair special-use permit with fence screening condition

The Planning Commission voted unanimously May 12 to approve a special-use permit for Cody Hoke’s proposed auto repair service facility. Staff presented the application and draft conditions; commissioners who visited the site recommended a six-foot solid wood fence along the northwest line to screen stored vehicles and shield views from the adjacent right-of-way.
"Your inoperable untagged or long-term vehicle, are they going to be within the internal fence there?" Commissioner Catherine Grech asked during the site-visit recap; Mr. Hoke confirmed vehicles would be stored inside the metal fence and agreed to construct additional screening where feasible. Grech moved to approve the SUP as amended; Mr. Johnson seconded and the motion passed by roll call, 5-0.
