Danni Schaust of GT Environmental, the county's consultant on the Materials Management Plan (MMP), led the Clinton County Materials Management Planning Committee through a detailed review of setbacks and operational requirements for different types of waste and materials-handling facilities. Ms. Schaust guided members as they decided specific parameters for each facility type; the discussion focused on how setback distances and operational conditions should vary by facility class and local context.
Committee members discussed and refined those parameters during the session but did not take a formal vote on plan language. Vice-Chairman Charles Hauser called the meeting to order at 5:46 p.m.; the MMPC will resume detailed drafting at a June 9 work session focused on Section Three of the MMP and aims to release a draft for public comment after a July 14 MMPC approval.
