The Fair Board took several administrative actions on April 21 as it prepared for the 2026 fair.
Chair Stephanie Styvar announced a budget session with the county commissioners for April 28 at 9 a.m. to discuss the FY26–27 budget and livestock panels. Fair Coordinator Liz Slattery said she will publish the Pig Wrestling application and entry date, usually scheduled toward the end of June.
The board approved a Royalty Drill Team breakfast fundraiser proposed by Tanya Sabroski and Tracy Shaw for Tuesday, July 28 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., contingent on compliance with Fire and Health Department requirements at the organizers' expense. Slattery reviewed food and alcohol bids and said the bids will be sent out and presented at the next meeting.
On finance, Liz Slattery presented vouchers and the current budget report; Jason Sinner moved to accept the vouchers, Myles Haugen seconded, and the motion passed. Chair Stephanie Styvar adjourned the meeting at 8:15 p.m.
