Yates County says ReConnect Phase 2 is live; Phase 3 preconstruction and change-order coming

Jeff Ayers updated the Finance Committee on the ReConnect broadband construction and engineering work and said 56 customers are connected to date. He reported that "Entire Phase 2 should be live and open to customer connections July 1st," and that there are customers signed up to be connected; he also said closeouts will occur pending final payments.
Ayers said Phase 3 is moving toward preconstruction with a 7/8 preconstruction meeting and that the county will need to bring a resolution forward to authorize a change order with Eustic. He also described outstanding permitting steps, DOT and railroad contract execution, and pending permits required before some construction activity can begin.
