Reed said the variable frequency drive project is "about 80% complete, should be done by the end of next week," and that Air Handler 12 (Chambers) design is finishing and will soon be put out to bid or solicited via a state contract. He reported the Public Health reconfigure work is starting and that the plan for a Public Defender office is waiting approval before proceeding.
The safety committee is drafting policies and signage and hopes to get parking lots relined; Reed noted paint does not stick to brand-new blacktop and the county plans to use yellow striping to stand out in snow. The committee approved a request to remove a pine tree for First Baptist Church with a replacement to be planted.
