Lisa Principio, Director of Community Services, told the committee that a resolution passed to begin a separate account for opiate settlement funds. She also said the department recently hired Fran Mason for an AOT EVA position and is completing onboarding.
Principio described outreach activities including Passport to Wellness events and local participation that have increased community visibility; she said the Suicide Prevention Center of NY has reached out about partnering on a SAMHSA grant the center plans to apply for, and Community Services is considering involvement.
