Selectboard updates roadwork staffing and grants; salt‑shed camera likely installed

At the Dec. 18 meeting the Isle La Motte Selectboard discussed roadwork staffing, pending grant applications, and infrastructure monitoring.
The board said there is no substantive Road Commissioner report at this time and requested that the Road Commissioner job opening be posted on the town website. Rusty Spaulding was identified as acting interim Road Commissioner responsible for emergency repairs; the Selectboard is covering administrative duties.
Member Pat Treckman reported he is still awaiting the Grants in Aid scope of work needed for year‑end submission. The Better Roads Grant application is complete and was signed by Chair Peter Brzozowy for submission.
Mary‑Catherine Graziano said Cary Sandvig advised that the salt‑shed camera is likely installed; the camera records video that will be downloaded as needed. The board also reviewed a VTrans winter driving safety alert to inform residents of snow‑removal standards and expectations for the season.
