On Aug. 13 the Twisp Town Council concluded a public hearing on amendments to Twisp Municipal Code Chapter 18 concerning short-term vacation rentals (STVRs) and parking.
Council Member Will Menzies first moved to adopt Ordinance #817 with Planning Commission changes; Council Member Tim Matsui seconded the motion and it failed. Council Member Wyatt Lundquist then moved to adopt Ordinance #817 striking condition number two (the condition that would have excluded detached accessory dwelling units from eligibility as STVRs in residential zones); Council Member Aaron Studen seconded. That motion passed with Council Member Katrina Auburn recorded as voting for and Council Members Will Menzies and Tim Matsui recorded as voting against.
The ordinance as adopted allows STVRs under the amended conditions agreed by council. The hearing on these ordinances opened at 7:28 p.m. and closed at 8:18 p.m.; a recording is available from Town Hall.
