Tonasket administrators report strong year: state competitions, academic honors and full end-of-year calendar

High school principal Irving Smith reported that the boys soccer team advanced at State and track athletes are headed to State competition. He also said yearbook sales have increased this year and announced that Brian Ellis has been nominated as the Washington State Agricultural Teacher of the Year. Smith outlined key upcoming dates: a moving-up assembly on June 9, graduation practice and related senior events, and the Graduation ceremony scheduled for June 13.
Middle school principal Trisha Roach reported SBAC testing had been completed by 222 students with final testing concluding the following Tuesday and described encouraging growth in assessment results. Elementary assistant principal Lilly Martin described participation in the 4th grade Math is Cool competition in Moses Lake and the ongoing Chess Club run by Scott and Christina Olson.
