Middle and elementary principals report testing progress and end-of-year events

Middle school principal Trisha Roach told the board that 222 students had completed SBAC testing, with final testing concluding the following Tuesday; she said the school has seen "exciting and significant growth improvements." The 6th grade camp was scheduled to depart Monday, delayed later in the season to take advantage of better weather.
Assistant elementary principal Lilly Martin reported that the 4th grade Math Is Cool team competed in Moses Lake, Scott and Christina Olson resumed hosting the Chess Club after travel, and preliminary state testing results for the elementary grades appear promising. Staff completed a book study on Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and set goals for the next school year; the elementary end-of-year calendar includes field trips and a moving-up ceremony, and the final ROAR assembly will offer student incentives including a Nintendo Switch and bicycle-drawing entries tied to academic improvement.
