High School Principal Irving Smith told the board that Taproot Theater staged a play about five students and staff followed up with advisory conversations to process social situations. Smith described the school's tardy intervention program, saying the program "uses contracts to identify barriers to punctuality, with 70% of contracts successfully meeting their goals," and noted a more rigorous plan for students who do not meet those goals.
THS ASB Representative Dakota Cox reviewed student activities, including Winter Fest and the band earning a superior rating at a recent competition; Cox also said the prom theme will be "Evening illuminated by lanterns and lights." Principal Smith said state test preparation is underway and staff evaluations and observations are in progress ahead of testing.
