Deputy Director Deanna Ryan told the Board of Health that the department has filled two positions: an environmental health technician has started and a senior public health educator will begin in a few weeks. She identified ongoing recruitment needs for a Director of Environmental Health, a Public Health Sanitarian and a Nutritionist for the WIC office, and said a few positions in the Lead Rental Registry program remain open.
Ryan framed the hires as part of staffing stabilization and said recruitment continues for specialized roles that support environmental health and WIC services. The report did not include expected hire dates for the remaining vacancies.
