Nutter Fort treasurer: Halloween festival planning, sidewalk repairs and water-line work set for October

Treasurer Leslie Cummings told the council that Halloween Fall Festival meetings will be held every Wednesday at 2 p.m. until the week of the festival and that approximately 15 vendors have signed up so far. She also reported sidewalk repairs at Town Hall and said water-line repairs and a water-line extension are scheduled to begin the first week of October 2025.
Cummings additionally recorded that BowSel was in town the weekend of Sept. 5, 2025 to perform fire hydrant testing required by the West Virginia Public Service Commission (WVPSC). These preparations and utility projects are expected to require coordination with public works and could affect short-term street conditions.
