County to piggyback Syracuse City School District contract with Enterprise for fleet leasing

The proposal came after internal review of Sourcewell and a cited comptroller audit that questioned use of nongovernment cooperative bidding vehicles.
Procurement staff said Enterprise has been a reliable vendor and that the county conducted an RFP and determined piggybacking is an acceptable alternative where OGS or GSA options are limited. A board member asked whether towns should be advised; staff suggested sharing the comptroller audit and their procurement approach with municipal partners. The board approved the piggyback motion by voice vote.
