County extends 2022 striping contract for nearly 1,000 miles of roadwork

Allen County Highway Director Bill Hartman asked the Board of Commissioners on April 3, 2026 to approve extension #4 of the 2022 traffic striping contract with Three Rivers Barricade Inc. The extension covers the 2026 traffic striping project and would apply striping on nearly 1,000 miles of hard-surface county roads at the same unit prices established in 2022.
Hartman noted that striping work is weather-dependent and cannot begin until temperatures are consistently at or above 60 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity is low. Commissioner Ronald W. Turpin moved approval; Commissioner Therese M. Brown seconded, and the motion passed 3-0.
The minutes record no amendments to pricing or scope beyond the extension and no objections from the board.
