Miss Carroll ran through the awards: $10,000 to the Horry County Police Department for its Shop with a Cop program (listed as coming from Districts 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 10 and 11); $650 to SOAR Academy for Thanksgiving food distribution (Carroll and the chair amended the allocation to add Unit 500); $600 to the Grand Strand Humane Society for medicine and supplies; and $750 to SOS Healthcare for Project Lifesaver bracelets. "The 1st 1 is for the Horry County Police Department," Carroll said while describing the allocations. The committee moved, seconded and approved the funding recommendations.
