Council approves permits, contracts, ordinance and a 6.3% airport hangar rate increase

The council approved a series of items in new/old business and on consent. Motions passed for Mayor Smith to sign the MSRF Flood Plain Development Permit Application Form (motion by Council Member Matsui, seconded by Council Member Studen; Council Member Auburn experienced technical difficulties and did not vote). The Burgar Street Halloween street closure request and the Twisp Purchasing Policy each passed unanimously.
The council approved an artist contract with Joshua "Oowah" Martel and a mural contract with The Merc Playhouse (Auburn unable to vote on those items). The council adopted Ordinance #822, described as "Adopting Development Agreement." The body also approved a Twisp Airport hangar rate lease increase at the full 6.3% and accepted the Okanogan County Emergency Management interlocal agreement. Most votes were unanimous among present voting members; several items recorded Council Member Auburn as unable to vote due to technical difficulties.
