County commission declines mosquito-spraying this season; county to refer callers to private applicators

Tim Huber, Weed & Pest Supervisor, told the board the County Commission is not authorizing the department to do mosquito spraying this season. He said callers who request mosquito control will be referred to private applicators.
Huber added the department will still calibrate its mosquito-spraying equipment because some chemical remains and the department wants to be prepared "if the need arises." The board did not take formal action to reverse the commission's decision during this meeting.
