At a public portion of the Aug. 26 meeting, taxpayers Dale and David Scott asked the Board to support a Clearway Energy solar project on their property and said they "are for the solar project in the county." They asked the county to allow them to use their land "to the best of its ability" and said they were particularly concerned about how any county setback regulations might affect a project.
Dale Scott told commissioners she had researched solar farms and wanted the county to permit the project. Will Dearing, identified as a Clearway Energy representative present at the session, was listed among attendees. The commission did not take formal action on the request during the meeting.
