CEBCO report: Fulton County medical loss ratio 89.9%; avoidable ER visits down 27%

Bodey reported that Fulton County, with an average of 260 employees, showed a medical loss ratio of 89.9% (CEBCO overall 104.9%), a dental loss ratio of 100.6% (CEBCO overall 95.1%) and a vision loss ratio of 107.8% (CEBCO overall 74.2%). She also said Fulton County had 7,162 prescriptions filled during the period; 86.7% were generics and 78.8% were filled at retail locations. Bodey noted a 27% decrease in avoidable emergency-room visits from the prior period. The board thanked her for the update.
