County accepts fuel quote, approves utility permits and authorizes Nova Solutions contract for highway software

The board accepted CBH Cooperative's quoted price of $3.411 per gallon for 500 gallons of dyed Diesel #2 and approved a private approach permit for Greg Percevich on Elk Creek Road with special conditions about approach orientation and grade. The board also approved utility/right-of-way occupancy permits for Black Hills Energy projects tied to Greg King and Michael Aanonsen for underground electrical facilities along Galena Road; motions incorporated special conditions requiring placement at the outer limits of the right-of-way, minimum depths per ordinance 07-01 and transformer placement outside the right-of-way.
John Bey gave a project update on highway accounting software and, by motion, the board authorized expenditure and signature of a contract with Nova Solutions to implement the software. "Moved-Seconded (Flanagan-Ewing) to approve the expenditure and authorize the Chairman or John Bey, Highway Superintendent, to sign the contract with Nova Solutions. Motion Carried," the minutes record.
