County sets Secure Rural Schools FY2026 allocation: Title I 85%, Title II 8%, Title III 7%

Auditor Brenda McGruder recommended the county accept and allocate the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act FY2026 payment, and the board approved the allocation percentages during the June 23 meeting.
By motion (moved by Robert Ewing, seconded by Brandon Flanagan), the board adopted the distribution: Title I 85%; Title II 8%; Title III 7%. The minutes record the action: "Moved-Seconded (Ewing-Flanagan) to follow the recommendation of Brenda McGruder, Auditor, and approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the following election to receive a payment and to allocate the state payment for Secure Rural Schools and Communities Act Funding Fiscal Year 2026 will be as follows: Title I 85%; Title II 8% and Title III 7%. Motion Carried."
