Cowley County names two witnesses to ballot shredding under KSA 25-2708

At the May 19 meeting Cowley County commissioners appointed Haley Knapp and Emily Hopper as witnesses to observe shredding of ballots from the Presidential Preference Primary (2024), the 2024 primary and the 2025 City/School election, citing KSA 25-2708.
County Clerk Karen Madison requested the appointments "pursuant to KSA 25-2708." Vice Chairman Alan Groom moved to appoint the two witnesses and Commissioner Wayne Wilt seconded; the motion passed 3-0. The appointments authorize the county to proceed with shredding under the statutory procedure recorded in the motion.
